#128578; The Royal Oak Cottage was an exceptional stay! Nestled perfectly for pub visits and scenic walks, it offered all necessary amenities. The well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful welcome package, with milk and biscuits, added a delightful touch. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!
#128577; Maybe the welcome brochure could be updated. The recycling instructions appeared incorrect as there was only one bin to place everything into outside. TV had a fault which the owners did attempt to rectify immediately, but this was unfortunately not possible. However it didn’t dampen our enjoyment of the cottage or our weekend break.

#128578; It was easy to collect the keys but just ensure you call for the key code number before you get to the property as the phone signal isn't great. We had to drive away from the property to until we got a signal and then drove back. This isn't a criticism.

#128578; Great location, quite close to Carsington Water. Trekking paths are within few miles radius. Stepping stones Dovedale is 25 minutes drive. Beautiful property, with plenty of tea, coffee and sugar available. You've got everything that you ask for in a kitchen. #128577; We reached the property late on a Friday night. We then had dinner and drinks and went to bed late after midnight. We were woken up by some noise (seemed like someone mowing or running some machine that was so annoying) at 7am on a Saturday morning! The noise seemed to have come from the area behind the pub, which is quite opposite to the property we were staying. Thankfully, Sunday was much quieter.
